Gold watch fob in the shape of a fox, probably late 19th century. Details below document the attachment of the chain (with an end loop) that linked the fob to a pocket watch, the damage to the fox's side along with the loop that probably caused it, the multiple interlocking links of the chain, and the small fox posed on an American quarter.
